How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I do sports since very early age. I started visiting the gym 4 years ago, just a little after my participation in the TV show Survivor Bulgaria. The season in the Bulgarian version lasts 52 days. I managed to reach the final and as result I lost 8 kilos. Then I decided that fitness and healthy nutrition will help me to get back in shape the fastest and I was right. After that fitness became a part of my life and I am very happy with the results I have achieved so far. Last year I was invited again to participate in the series, this time in Survivor Cambodia and I decided to get in the perfect shape in order to win the games in the show.
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
I am motivated by my personal achievements and most of all the results I accomplish with my customers. I am happy alongside them because I have helped for their own motivation too. Working out in a gym a person could focus on a certain parts of his body, the ones that he finds as problematic. This way he can carve his body in the shape he wants to. It is very important to be persistant, every beginning is hard but believe me when you start seeing the results, you will start visiting the gym with pleasure.
What is your training routine like?
I train each muscule group in a different day. On the day for back – Monday, the workout begins with pull-ups and ends with deadlift and hyperextension. Tuesday and Thursday I do HITT – High Intensity Interval Training. Wednesday and Friday I train respectively shoulder and arms and Saturday is my leg day when I do intensive super-series with lots of repetitions and lighter weights.
If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
I would choose pull ups, dead lift and lunges. These are all basic exercises which are mainly for stamina and strength. Every time my back workout starts with pull ups, because the workout with your own body weight is the most effective.
What is your favourite form of cardio?
It has to be the HITT – High Intensity Interval Training – like Tapout and Crossfit
What is your diet like?
At the moment I maintain my current wight. I am having meals every 3 hours. I never skip my daily dose of carbohydrates and proteins. I enjoy having veal, pork, lots of vegetables and nuts. I can have sweets and pasta in my so called “recharging day” which is every Sunday and I never miss it.
What supplements do you use?
BCAA’s amino acids, protein
What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness industry?
My accomplishments are mainly related with my transformation. Every working woman should keep herself in shape in order to feel fulfilled and comfortable in her own skin.
